From humble, hobbyist origins, the Snagpad Plus arrives six years after the original Snagpad by Don from The Board Podcast — now featuring modern features and extra functionality.Â
Whether used as a numpad or a macropad, this DIY keyboard kit is sure to boost your productivity. The keys are easy to program without needing to download any additional software, so you can effortlessly change and re-map buttons to suit your daily needs. The extra switches on the left can be set to output custom macros which will help save you time throughout the day. Tired of typing the same sentence/formula/string, repeatedly?
Type it out one last time before saving it to a key then press the button whenever needed. Unlike most kits where switches are soldered directly to a PCB, these kits utilize hot swap sockets and will allow you to freely test and change switches after soldering. Both Plate (3pin) or PCB mounted (5pin) switches are compatible with this macropad.
An introduction to keyboard and hobbyist concepts; this kit makes for a rewarding weekend project and a great way to practice and learn how to solder. Durock plate mount stabilisers are included in this kit, so all you need to complete the build are switches and keycaps.
