Gateron Mint Jelly

The Gateron Jelly series is a derivative of the Gateron Smoothie series and offer the same smoothness and quality but at a lower price. This is possible because the top housing is made from economical PC plastic which also has the additional benefit of allowing RBG light to easily pass through.

Being a Silent switch, these Mint Jelly switches sound near identical to the Gateron Smoothie Mint switches since both are inherently mute and quiet. 

Silent switches like the Gateron Mint Jelly use silicone dampeners as the silencing mechanism to significantly reduce noise produced on the downstrokes and upstrokes. They are the perfect choice for when working in shared spaces or gaming at night.

These switches, because of the spring length, feel very consistent and smooth on the way down. The initial press may feel slightly heavier but once you overcome this resistance they are very comfortable to type on.

These switches are much more muted than regular switches, however, keyboard sound is dependent on several factors. The amount of noise produced will vary and also depend on your keyboard and keycaps. 

If you would like to do some modding, lube can be added to the leaf and springs to further reduce any potential noise.
