Tactile switches can often be louder than their linear counterparts because they require more force to overcome the tactility, which in turn, means you bottom out harder and faster. Cherry's solution to this predicament was to add silicone dampeners to sides of the stem in hopes of reducing noise. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe tactility of the Cherry MX Honey switch is quite aggressive by Cherry's standards. It feels very stiff at the top and not easy to initially press as there is a modest amount of resistance and what feels like no-pretravel before a long rounded bump.
